Hello bloggers! I’m back again with another collaboration. I guess you’ve already seen the title.
It’s teachers day in India today so before I start here’s wishing all the teachers a very happy teachers day!
Self love and acceptance, if I were to describe these terms I’d say that this is the medicine to nearly all the silly problems that we face in our lives.
Here’s a question to all of you. How much do you love yourself?
Might sound silly but this is a question that you definitely should ask yourself.
It takes time to build a confident character and this process first starts with self love and acceptance.
A person who hates himself and is unsure of his abilities can never appreciate others. Imagine a person who complains about everything, his mind is a factory of negativity. How on Earth can such a person lead a positive life?
Let’s do a self accessment!
When you wake up in the morning and go to brush your teeth do you notice your hair and observe yourself carefully? Do you make sure that you are well dressed always and be sure that you look presentable?
If your answer to those two questions is yes then it means you care about how the world should see you. You want to be appreciated.
Now a question that you might want to ask is,”So what?
Now imagine a person who doesn’t do all this. Which means this person just doesn’t care about anything. How many of you will want to interact with such people? Very rare! You would never like your friends to be hopeless and owners of “care a damn” attitude.
So, doesn’t this simply mean that if you care about yourself you indirectly care about the people around you?
Always remember that you are the X factor of your own life. Like in multiplication, if you multiply with zero you will get a zero.
Accept the way you are because whatever you are is your only possession. If you don’t love your possession don’t expect others to love you either.
Do check out my post The secret ingredient, it’s based on similar lines!
As this is a collaboration please do check what the other bloggers have to say.

Very true. There’s greater happiness like truly accepting how special we are. We hear it at times from those around us …but if we don’t believe it from our hearts…it doesn’t mean anything…our thank you is just a reflection of the mundane routine society has influenced to being the norm…but when we see and believe how special we are…that thank you becomes a sincere bliss as our heart leaps in gratitude that another sees it. Bravo my friend.

“Always remember that you are the X factor of your own life” So true! I think sometimes we forget this and allow what others think of us to determine how we feel. Great post.

This is a truly insightful post, Rainforest!
Love the multiplication analogy (partially because I love math and also because it’s so true!). Self-love is the algebra of life that equates to happiness and success.
Happy Teacher’s day!

Yep. They are simply the best.
But I always hated them when it came to permutations and combinations. π

Great post! I like how you say self-love is like mathematics; multiply something by 0, you get 0. Too bad it’s not something they teach in school, but it’s never too late to learn. π

Thank you! They should infact teach this calculation in schools….

I really like the equation, I never thought of self-respect as an equation, but it makes perfect sense. We never want to get to a point where we are feeling like a big “ZERO.” We are whole as long as we love and appreciate ourselves.
