Strength, a word used so often by us humans. Youth are more focused on muscle and body strength, elders about strength of family relationships and a huge number of people focused on mental strength.
Even when we buy something new from the market, we do ask the shopkeeper about the strength and durability of the product. The mental strength of an individual determines how much pressure he/she can handle without much chaos.
For instance let’s consider an example.
Suppose you reach a situation in life when nothing seems to be going your way. A majority of people will be so demotivated that they’ll just sit back and say,” I am useless and I’m a burden to the world. Why was I even born?”
It’s easy to ignore our problems but remember no problem is permanent. It’s your strength mentally that needs to be well developed and trained.
Every time something goes wrong learn to see it as a learning experience and not as your weakness. For example, you are planning to got to some important meeting and on the way you face some challenge. Don’t start doubting your luck and your future. See it as a opportunity to learn something new and be better at facing a challenge.
All the people that we call legends today didn’t become legends just like that. They were mentally strong, they had their goals set, their focus was always positive.
Suppose you decide to tag your minor quandaries as your bad luck. What happens?
You lose your confidence. Your mind turns to a defencive mode. All of a sudden you are now focused on avoiding further issues and not even thinking about your original goals.
Life is an opportunity, be mentally strong to face it. Every mindset you pick ultimately has a very significant impact on your journey.
To sum it up here’s a very general story.
John woke up to got for an interview and as he goes to his garage to get his car out, the locking system of the car seems to be non responsive to his remote key.
Now John has already encountered a similar situation and he knows how to solve the issue. All it’ll take is just 5 minutes.
Is there any reason to get upset? I don’t think so.
Here are two cases:
Case 1:
John gets upset. He panics and starts cursing his luck. He starts asking the almighty that why did all this happen just on this day. Somehow he gets to the place for his interview and while awaiting his chance he’s constantly thinking about the bad start to the day he’s just had. Eventually when his chance comes his confidence is in the pits.
Isn’t that a really bad situation to be in? Indeed it is!
Case 2
John faces the same situation. However, his response is different this time. He quickly fixes his car. Leaves that thought behind and attends his interview as he intended.
Sounds better doesn’t it? But I’m pretty sure that you guys missed something!
In the second case John was able to solve his unexpected problem because he faced a similar situation before. That time he learned from it and that is why the second instance wasn’t a chaos. So instead of cursing it’s always and forever better to learn from something.
So, let’s strengthen our mentalities and face situations as mentally strong individuals because life’s never gonna be easy, it’ll keep challenging you and testing you. It’s your responsibility to make this situation worth it.
A strong mind is a prosperous mind!

I’m glad I read your post this morning, Jothish. I enjoyed it, and felt it a good reminder of what to do — and what not to do. (I’m talking about the story about the guy with his malfunctioning car key, here.)
Mind, a little grumbling is fine now and again, providing that’s all it stays. It can’t get into your head so much that you let it ruin your whole day.
My example of this? My car didn’t start last week, and I was very annoyed because I had to be someplace important — people were counting on me, and there wasn’t anyone who could take my place. It took hours for the car to be jump-started, even though I am a member of an auto club and called right away.
Years ago, I would’ve been beyond annoyed at this. I would’ve been irate at something I couldn’t help or change.
Now? While I didn’t like it — who would? — I was able to get past it, stay reasonably serene, and get to the place I needed to go on time with much less stress.
And as you said, if you can remind yourself that you’ve been through things before and survived them just fine, that certainly helps!
Anyway, sorry it took me so long to get over here, but I’m very glad I did. Have a great day!

Nice post! I especially liked the line, “No problem is permanent. Itโs your strength mentally that needs to be well developed and trained.” And yes, it’s how we approach a situation that’ll help solve our problems.

What a great take on the theme! Very very true.
The power of the mind is very great. So if we can learn to strengthen our minds, there’s no limit to what we can achieve. And to the levels of confidence we can reach!
This is a great post, Rainforest.
